Today I am sharing a Mod OOTD that features one of many dresses from my closet that will soon be available to rent via StyleLend, a new app for sharing and renting personal closets. I included a short video below that explains how to get started with StyleLend so you can start renting amazing pieces like this Vintage Karl Lagerfeld Dress I’m sharing today!

Today’s OOTD takes the Black and White Trend back, way back, to the Mod, Mini-Dressed Days of the 1960’s. The look is built around a vintage Karl Lagerfeld color-blocked dress; color-blocking was all the rage in the 60’s, just like it is now. Black and White is a Fall Fashion Trend that cannot be ignored; open the pages of any September Issue and you are bound to find an example of how the designers showcased this classic color combo in their Fall Look Books.
My photographer was in a particularly artistic mood the day we shot this look. These photos were taken in my old loft apartment. The decor of this beautiful apartment always reminded me of a Marc Jacobs advertisement. These photos are some of my favorite photos on the blog to date.

This look starts with this UNBELIEVABLE Vintage Mod Mini-Dress by Karl Lagerfeld. I spotted and coveted it on eBay for months before I finally made the purchase. I shortened the knee-length hemline by folding it under to make it more 60’s; while I typically have my mother chop the hem of my dresses, I couldn’t bear to alter this gem. Worn with fishnets, and all over Black and White accessories, this look is Mod Retro at it’s finest!

The Black and White Fall Fashion Trend is taken to the MAX in every detail of the accessories. I used both vintage and cheapie costume jewelry from Forever 21. The fishnet stockings take the sex appeal up a notch, while the black headband from Target give it just enough innocence.
The Vintage Hermes Sunglasses were a Flea Market find on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. How incredible are these?
The Christian Dior Shoes MAKE this outfit. In fact, their over-the-top Black and White Giraffe Print make ANY outfit you wear them with.
