Blue and Green OOTD: The Perfect Outfit for a Motorcycle Ride

I am LOVING the look I put together today.  It’s the perfect outfit to wear on the back of a motorcycle: jeans add protection, blouse to stay loose and cool, and a cross-body bag that stays secure while you ride.  This look is also perfect for this weeks Blue and Green spree of looks on the blog.

This look is a combination of so many of my favorite pieces.  First and foremost, I love the blue nail polish I am wearing– it’s the perfect ocean tone for summer.  The jeans fit so comfortably and are (believe it or not) from Zara.  The top is a tie-dye number that is loose and cool but still gives me a shape.  I bought it at one of the Boutiques inside the W Hotels.

For the accessories I chose to pair lots of high-end pieces with low-end grabs from Forever 21 and H&M.  My amazing aviators are by Dior, while the earrings, necklace, and scarf are all cheapies from Forever 21.  My cross-body bag by Chanel.  It’s blue and black colorblocking make it a little bit retro and mod, but it is still classic and true to the Chanel silhouette we expect and love. The heavy chain strap is an unexpected detail that toughens up an otherwise feminine bag.  Finally, the shoes are my very favorite shoe purchase (maybe of all time) because they are not only show-stopping and beautiful, they were also reasonably priced and SO COMFORTABLE!  I wear them every chance I get and always, ALWAYS get compliments.  I can literally wear them all day and run around the entire city without having sore feet at days end.  In fact, I wear them so much, I was wearing them just yesterday in THIS other Blue and Green for Spring OOTD, check it out HERE.
