Today’s Bikini OOTD will leave you green with envy and longing for the beach. If you haven’t figured it out, I LOVE to style monochromatic outfits. You might not think you’re brave enough to go head-to-toe in one color only, but I am here to tell you that you can.
The secret to this trend is to switch up the prints and texture, not just with each item of clothing abut also with your accessories. For example, in today’s Green Monochromatic OOTD, I threw on a palm-printed Michael Kors midi-skirt over a lace-trimmed green bikini by my favorite bikini designer: Beach Bunny Swimwear. In addition, I chose accessories in various textures. Starting from the top, my vintage 1960’s fascinator is covered with funky, coral beads. I stacked three necklaces in various mediums: the top has 3-dimensional beaded flowers, the middle is vintage with sparkly glass beads, and the longest has two different colors of tiny beads. Both of my bracelets sparkle with green gems. The final touches are a sleek, chainmail purse and suede peep-toe pumps in various shades of pastel green and blue. By stepping slightly outside the (otherwise) strictly green color scheme, they serve to bring all of the unique pieces together.
