With the end of one of my favorite Tv Series, Mad Men, I will be featuring some looks over the next few weeks inspired by the incredible wardrobe of the various characters. I have already shown you an outfit inspired by the style of Don Drapers second wife, Megan, which you can take a look at in this recent post. Today, I am showing you an outfit inspired by his first wife, Betty. Here to help is my beautiful friend from high school (!!), Lisette. Thanks for coming and playing dress-up in my closet Lisette!
Betty is notorious for her prim-and-proper 50’s house-wife looks. In this OOTD, I styled Lisette in a vintage purple wool dress from the 50’s/60’s. I cinched the waist with a feathered belt. Her accessories include vintage earrings, necklace, and hat. I just HAD to include a close-up of Lisettes’ rings. I am in love with this snake ring (snakes have kind of been something I have been obsessing over, including this vintage snake hat I wore in this recent post from NYFW.) But the real ring obsession is her engagement ring– I have been OBSESSED with it since the first time I saw it. I lover the asymmetry and incorporation of blue diamonds.
Necklace: Vintage from Golyester, LA
Rings: Lisettes own
