If you’re like me, you have already begun to drag out your Fall Wardrobe and are considering how you will integrate your favorite summer wardrobe pieces into your Fall Wardrobe.  In order to nail the often-tricky Summer-Fall transition, it is equally important to consider how you will incorporate those favorite Fall items into your Summer Wardrobe.  Over the next few weeks, I will sprinkling my advice on how to have the most winning wardrobe in these difficult to navigate “in-between season” weeks.

My first rule of thumb is to look for pieces that have the silhouette of one season but are made in a fabric typical of the other.  For example, today’s post includes a sweater in a short cropped sleeve silhouette (summer) but with details of fur (fall).  I love this look because it gives very 50’s housewife, which I am a sucker for because, let’s be honest, the 50’s really were the pinnacle for “housewives”.

I kept the accessories modern as to not look overly old-fashioned.  I love how the belt is in a matching color to the shell because it gives you a waist without taking away from the beauty of the delicate sweater.

The Shoes are by BCBG Max Azria and are one of my favorite pairs of pumps.  I love how the embellishments on the bow make them almost feel  “Art-Deco”.
