NYFW: Kate Spade Spring 2016

Kate Spade RTW Spring 2016

Today I am continuing my coverage of the recent Spring Collections from New York Fashion Week.  Each season, Kate Spade is one of my most anticipated shows.  Spring 2016 did not disappoint.

Before I get to the accessories, including the newest collection of novelty bags which are always my favorite, there are three pieces from the ready-to-wear that are worth highlighting:  The first is a Black and White Printed Mod Jacket, because literally every collection for Spring has a Mod influence.  The second is a pair of Striped Shorts; I love the color palette and the sequin embellishments.  Last, and my favorite piece of the Spring Collection, is a Bright Pink Dress with an oversized bow at the beck of the neck– one in every color, please.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, Kate Spade Novelty Bags are like crack to me.  For the past few years, they have consistently come out with numerous adorable novelty bags to match each of their collections.  The Spring 2016 Collection was no exception.  From a Tea Kettle to the most adorable Spotted Dog, the straw pieces in this collection was as strong as any I have seen before.  You might remember the straw Frog Purse from THIS recent Mod OOTD post, or the straw snail from THIS 70’s inspired look I posted earlier this summer.  Bees were a big part of the accessories for the Spring 2016 Collection; I love the straw Beehive the best of all.
