Last night, after a crazy day at Fashion Week, I cleared my mind by taking a long walk. Thanks to my adorable Yorkie, Gracie Mae, walks have become an important part of maintaining my mental clarity. Unfortunately, my pup is on her annual vacation in Florida with her grandparents, and my outdoor walking time has been limited to dashing for the A C E. No matter how busy you are, taking time to quiet the mind for meditation is a critical part of your overall success. Starting your day with a cell-phone free meditative walk or just sitting quietly while you drink your morning cup of coffee can translate to better problem-solving when stressful situations arise later in the day. Starting your day without meditation, is akin to not showering off yesterdays dirt. Make it a priority, and you will certainly see a difference.
Moving on to today’s Walk in the Park OOTD, I am continuing my blitz of spring/summer inspired attired before the summer slips away. Today’s outfit was shot in the historic City Hall Park in downtown Manhattan. I love to sit and read a book by this beautiful fountain, especially in the Spring and Fall.
My outfit begins with a vintage lavender dress from the 1950’s with cute, cut-out sleeves and a full skirt. I love to wear cotton dresses, like this one, in summer because they allow the skin to breathe. My floral bouquet is actually from the arrangements I made for my birthday party. I included a picture of all of the beautiful flowers I received for my birthday this year– you won’t believe how many cover my table! My accessories include vintage earrings, necklace, and hat. My bracelet is by Fire Fly and my shoes are by Louis Vuitton.
