OOTD: Holiday Party Animal

red and black holidy 3

So, I was just made aware that Christmas is NEXT WEEK… WHAT!?  How did this happen?  I guess I know what all of those missed calls from my mom are about.

I have been a regular holiday party animal this week.  I have to say, no matter how old I get, I am still a kid at the holidays.  I have even been enjoying the snow (though I can’t say I am going to complain abut the 60 degree weather we are due to have this Sunday in NYC).  In the case that you will find yourself a Holiday Party Animal this weekend, here is the first of my series on fun, vintage holiday outfits.

OOTD Details:

In this OOTD, I am doing all that is obvious for holiday: red, sequins, fur, feathers.  This OOTD was built around a vintage red sequin cocktail dress that is SO FABULOUS! Not only is it covered in sequins (one of my favorite holiday embellishments), but if you look closely, the print of the dress is unexpectedly of adorable little animals! See the enlarged print below :)  I love the splashed of red in my accessories and, of course, I had to keep warm with a black fur coat!

My accessories are splashes of red from my feathered fascinator, to my dripping rhinestone earrings, to the red bangles from India, and all the way down to the soles of my Christian Louboutin shoes.  My fur coat is actually for sale on my ebay store (check out the listing here) and my bag is a favorite by MCM.
