Swinging Spring!

My new favorite Coat for spring is this 1960’s Swing Coat!  Vintage fashion is famous for hidden details like the colors found under the sleeves of this coat.  I wish this kind of care was found in modern day fashion more often.  Side note: the Pink Vespa isn’t mine, but I need one!  Check out InStyle February issue for adorable Spring Trends and Valentines Day treats to make you heart melt.

The necklace was a gift from my fashion-forward mother.  She bought it for me several years ago, and I just thought it was… large.  Now I realize that she has always been on-point when it comes to forecasting trends.  Mama: Your brilliant, creative mind is one I am lucky share half of my genetic make-up with!

The fur was custom made for me by United States Fur, and is the perfect accessory to brighten up any coat, but especially compliments the colors in this coat.  The shoe I covered in a previous DIY post about how to accessorize your shoes with shoe clips and/or clip on earrings. Check it out, if you haven’t already!

The colorful skirt is from the W Hotels Boutique.  I know it sounds crazy, but I am forever finding amazing pieces at this boutique.  When I lived in Midtown Manhattan, I didn’t have many other boutiques to choose from.  As a result, the W Boutique in Times Square became one of my favorite secret spots.  I can’t tell you how many times I have worn one of their pieces and shocked an on-looker when I tell them where it’s from– check them out, if you haven’t already.
