Trending: Camel and Chrysanthemum

In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Red Lip Trend has been replaced by BRIGHT, BOLD PINK this Spring Season…  Equally hot is the color CAMEL for Wool Coats, Dresses, and Trousers.  The color KHAKI and anything that one might call KHAKI has been OUT for several season now, but if you must change up the winter blacks you can opt for CAMEL, instead.  Because I love pairing bright lips with muted tones, and because the Ebay Fairy brought me these fabulous camel-colored frames yesterday, I decided to show you how to work out Camel with Chrysanthemum.

To achieve the pink lip, just use a lighter pink you probably already have and layer in a orange-y toned red (like MAC Lady Danger) over the lip with a brush…  I treat it like an art project for my lips.

On a side note, I am horrible at doing my own make-up.  Almost anyone can apply lipstick.  So, if you share in my make-up IN-ability, try wearing bright-toned lips and you will hardly need to apply anything else!

  1. I love the name of your blog, it’s what initially drew me in. I really enjoy your blog because I love incorporating vintage pieces into my wardrobe. A touch of the past!
