Today I am sharing a look I like to call “Sexy Sergeant Pepper”, the next up in my #TripleXXX Collaboration with Miss Sabado and Modern Vice. I styled this outfit by combining several statement gold accessories; each of these pieces are show-stoppers on their own and would typically take center stage of an outfit. Somehow, they all piled on and came together to make the perfect under-stated, yet over-the-top look.
Starting from the bottom, the look is anchored by the Modern Vice Band Booties with ornate, gold embroidery. Next, we have the Vintage Chanel belt from the 90’s that is a collection of all of the signature Chanel belt buckles from previous years. Next we have one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE pieces: the 1970’s Exit Necklace. Finally, I chose a delicate gold floral ear cuff to add a glint of gold next to Miss Sabados’ beautiful face.
As I have mentioned before, I am currently in the process of designing my own collection of accessories (stay tuned…). Part of this collection will include re-creations of all of my favorite vintage pieces; this Exit Necklace is definitely at the top of the re-creation list! In the Disco Days of the 1970’s, planning your exit was as important as planning your entrance. Disco Fashion often included dresses and jumpsuits with very low cut, open backs. This Exit Necklace was designed to be worn draped down the back, to further accentuate those sexy, backless styles. Can we say, Show-Stopper?
While the gold accessories are what makes this outfit so interesting, I would be remiss not to mention the sexy Marc Jacobs dress I am wearing. I bought this dress for a weekend in The Hamptons a few summers ago and it has remained one of my summer staples. Obviously the sky high slit and racer-back give it sex appeal, but what you can’t see in these pictures is how the semi-sheer skirt blows in the wind and, every so often, shows off a peek of bare bum (ooh la la!)
